National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU)

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is Ukraine’s leading agency dedicated to fighting high-level corruption. Established in 2014 as part of a major reform effort, NABU focuses on investigating corruption among top public officials—those whose actions have the greatest impact on the country’s governance and economy. Unlike traditional law enforcement bodies, NABU operates with a specialized mission: to detect, uncover, and build strong cases against complex corruption schemes. Once investigations are complete, cases are transferred to prosecutors to ensure legal accountability. NABU represents a shift toward transparency and integrity in public institutions, playing a critical role in strengthening trust and aligning Ukraine with international anti-corruption standards.
